Essentials We Provide

You don’t need to pack a lot when you schedule a float fishing trip or wade trip which includes fly fishing lessons if needed. Keep in mind, we do not bait fish nor use spinning rods… we are a catch and release trout guide service. We provide most of the equipment to make your fly fishing trip a success, including the following:

Fishing is hungry work. That’s why all our full-day fly fishing trips for beginners and advanced anglers include a hearty lunch of deli sandwiches or fried chicken, along with a variety of delicious sides for your convenience. Half-day trips include snacks and drinks. Let us know about any special dietary needs before we set out—we’re happy to accommodate you.

What You Should Bring

High Country Angler has all the basics covered. However, there are a few items you may wish to bring. A Tennessee Fishing License (or call (615) 781-6500) is essential, of course, but some of the other things we recommend bringing include:

  • Jacket, Rain Jacket, & Extra Clothing
  • Polarized Shades
  • Earth-Tone Clothing & Hat
  • Medicine or Dietary Needs

Trip Times & Rendezvous Point

Full day trips begin no later than 7:00 or 8:00 a.m. and typically end by 4:00 or 5:00 p.m. Times vary on half-day trips. In order to accommodate everyone, rendezvous points are set in convenient locations close to all fishing areas in East Tennessee.
